  • Keys to Making Your Goals a Reality

Getting in your workout isn’t always easy. It takes time, it takes sacrifice, and it takes determination. Sometimes the hardest part is just getting up or getting out the door to start the process. If it were easy, everyone would love to work out and be at the gym every day, but we all know that doesn’t happen. The key to being successful is making small simple changes that keep you focused on your end result.

Fit in What You Can When You Can

We all have different schedules and different commitments. Sometimes you have to be creative when you fit in your workouts. If you only have 20 minutes then fit in some in the morning and some in the evening when you have more time. It’s better to get in a proper workout than sacrifice form and performance for being in a rush to get somewhere.

    Start Small and Work Up

I’ve seen so many people burn themselves out too quickly. Fitness is a journey and even thought you want results fast, starting small and working yourself up will help to avoid burnout and let you slowly and gradually increase your strength.

    Plan it Out

Don’t set yourself up for failure – plan out when your workouts will be ahead of time. Schedule them on your calendar just like everything else. They have to be as a big of a priority as going to the grocery store for food is each week. The more you do it, the more it will become a habit.

    Make it Realistic

Another quick way you will set yourself up for failure is if you aren’t realistic to yourself. Don’t plan to go to the gym every day if your schedule won’t allow it. Plan workouts at home if you need to, but setting your goals higher than you can possibly do isn’t a good way to have success. Do what you can and work hard.

You Don’t Have to Work Out for an Hour

Most people assume if they want to get any results that they have to work out for 1+ hour each day. This isn’t true. High intensity workouts can be done in as little as 20-30 minutes. The key to weight loss or toning is your diet, so as long as you are getting a good and focused workout in the other will come with close attention to your diet.

The truth is, there is no magic to meeting your goals. You have to work at it day in and day out and be realistic. The quicker you make it a MUST in your schedule the quicker your habit begins and the results will come.
