We all have certain days where we just don’t feel like hitting the gym. Maybe you’ve had a rough day, maybe you’re a little tired or maybe you’re just lazy. You had a bit too much to drink the night before and now you feel like crap. It's just one day, isn’t it? No. Get your butt in the gym. Now! Why?
You create the domino effect
You think to yourself, it's just one day, nothing will happen. Then you say that again the next day and the next. You just get more and more lazy and eventually, just give up. Don’t let this happen. I’ve been there and it's hard to come back, so just don’t ever fall off the wagon. Rest days are different to lazy days. Know the difference.
You know you will feel better after
We all know that just getting to the gym is the hard part but once you’re actually there in the middle of a workout, it's a completely different story. You never want to leave. The euphoria, the adrenaline rush, the power, it all just feels too good. Just start your workout and I promise you will feel better, physically and mentally, once you are done.
Tell me I’m wrong.
You really need to get in shape
Your body just isn’t going to change magically by sitting on the couch or lying in bed all day. You need to fit in to those jeans, the shirt feels too tight, your posture is horrible, your stamina sucks. Whatever your reason, if you know you’re out of shape and want to change that, do something about. Get up and go workout. Can’t make it to the gym, go out and run.
Do something.
You’ll be in a better mood
Just go out of the house and head to the gym. Maybe you meet someone on the way, maybe the breeze lifts your spirits, maybe you see something wonderful.
If you sit in your home all day, you just be lazy, get negative thoughts in your head, watch the news and just get pissed off. Screw that, just get out of your house head to the gym, pump that iron, talk to that hot girl or guy and feed that stray dog on your way back. Instantly, your day is improved.
You’ll be able to eat more
This is just good enough reason for me to hit the gym for a workout. I love food. I love eating food and if I hit the gym, I am able to eat more food without it spilling over to my guts. If you are like me, do a quick workout and eat. Just don’t overdo it, or you’re going to need to do some more sprints. Hell, why not. Do it!
