    Your body can only digest ‘x’ amount of protein at a time
    I have no idea where this myth comes from. A lot of the internet warriors seem to claim that your body just cannot digest and absorb more than a certain amount of protein in one meal, most seem to round the figure off to 30 grams of protein. That is crazy, it's not like your body has an inbuilt calculator that just says alright we’ve had our scoop of protein, start storing the rest of it as fat!

    Ridiculous!


    Our bodies are much smarter than that. The truth is that your body will take whatever it needs and just get rid of the excess. If you’ve consumed more calories than you have burnt, only then will your body start to store the excess as fat, it doesn’t matter whether that is protein, carbs or fat. Excess calories are stored as fat, not excess macronutrients.

    Eating fruit makes you fat

    Read that sentence out loud. Sounds stupid, doesn’t it? Well, it is. Have you ever, in the history of the world, heard of anyone getting fat from eating just fruit. It's not possible.

    The truth is that you will be full from the fiber and water content of fruit long before you go over your calorie limit for the day. Yes, fruit contains sugar but it is natural sugar that your body knows how to digest. The only reason you should avoid fruit is if you have a pre-existing medical condition, such as diabetes.

    Fruit contains a ton of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fiber that is essential to good health, don’t miss out on it!

    Egg yolks are bad for your health

    Say this to your grandmother and chances are that you will get hit in the head with a heavy cast-iron pan. People have been eating egg yolks for centuries and it is only recently that people have started freaking out about them. Can’t really blame them though.

    Egg yolks are high in fat and cholesterol; therefore, it is easy to see why people would want to stay away from them, however, I assure you, there is nothing to be afraid of.

    Egg yolks contain the good kind of fat and cholesterol that is necessary to produce hormones, such as testosterone. They are also the most nutrient dense part of the egg and contain the most amount of minerals and vitamins. Don't skip out on the yolk!
