  • 3 Ways to Maximize Your Pump

Getting a pump during your workout is a great feeling. Not only can it contribute to immediate visible swelling, it helps deliver nutrients and oxygen to the muscles you are targeting. If you are looking for ways to maximize your pump, improve your training results and give your muscles the support they need for growth, try these 3 easy steps!

    Up Your Carbs
To get the most out of your pumps, your muscles need to have the appropriate amounts of glycogen available. Not only does this provide the needed energy to perform your best during a workout, it also helps make your muscles look fuller. For this reason, trying to get a good pump while following a low-carb diet is much harder and should be avoided unless you are trying to cut body fat.

    Stay Hydrated
While dehydrated, you typically will look very cut if you are at a lower body fat percentage, but your muscles won't look very full. On the contrary, when your body is hydrated, it will have the support needed to generate higher blood volume levels and fluid to increase the pump effect. To ensure a maximum pump, properly hydrate before and during the workout to increase fluid levels.

    Add Supplements
There are many different supplement ingredients that can contribute to maximum pumps, including Agmatine, Citrulline, Betaine and many more. Typically, these ingredients can be found in pre-workout supplements and nitric oxide pump boosters. If you are looking for a great pump, don't be afraid to get a little bit of help from supplements.
