  • Make At Least ONE Change This New Year

A few days ago I posted about fitness goals for the New Year and how to make them happen. I thought today I would talk about the other side of thing, not changing anything. Some of us are all for setting New Year’s resolutions while others think that it is a waste of time. I can see both arguments, but I do believe no matter what we should use this time to look back on our training in 2014 and make necessary changes. Here are some things to take a look at it going into 2015.

    Have you tried anything NEW?

We know that our bodies need to switch things around from time to time. If you keep doing the same thing, or same sets of things, eventually our bodies hit a plateau and the results that we are looking so hard for aren’t happening anymore. Try at LEAST one thing new in 2015. Challenge your body in a way that it hasn’t been before, and I guarantee you will see some amazing results.

I know I am one who is guilty of finding a few go-to meals or supplements and sticking to only those. Just like with mixing up your exercises sometimes your body responds even better when you switch up your pre and post workouts, supplements and experiment with different types of foods. Some will work and others won’t, but by experimenting you can find some great new additions to your current plan.

    Find a Partner

One of the biggest motivations is having someone who you know you can count on to either help you during your workout or just go to the gym with. Having someone who can hold you accountable and understands what you are trying to do. This is sometimes hard to find, but once you do it makes all the difference. Find someone who can challenge you and push you to that next level when you need it.

This is something that I always try to do. Read, research and learn about new things within the running/body building/weight lifting world depending on what your niche is. Not only does it increase your overall knowledge but it will help you take your workouts and training to the next level.

Even if you don’t set big New Year’s resolutions, at least try to focus on making at least one change in the New Year. You may not have a specific goal but challenge yourself and push yourself outside your normal comfort zone in the coming year.
